Martyna Marczak
I am an Assistant Professor in Economics at the Department of Economics at Trinity College Dublin. I am also Research Affiliate at the International Macro-TCD (IM-TCD) unit.
My research focus lies in macroeconomics and at the intersection of macroeconomics and labor economics. I am currently interested in the macroeconomic implications of technological change and the role of labor market institutions, especially labor unions. Another key area of my research is business cycle analysis.

June 2026: I presented at the North American Meeting of the Econometric Society in Atlanta.
April 2026: I co-organized the 2nd Women in Macro Workshop at the Central Bank of Ireland (keynote speaker: Hélène Rey). The workshop program is available here.
2025: “Endogenous Task Allocation and Intrafirm Bargaining” with Thomas Beissinger was published in Economics Letters.
2025: “Divergence in Labour Force Growth in Open Economies: Should Wages and Prices Grow Faster in Germany?” with Thomas Beissinger and Joël Hellier was published in Comparative Economic Studies.
2025: I gave an invited research seminar at Waseda University, Tokyo.
